The minimum wage is the legally guaranteed minimum amount that an employer must pay to an employee for work performed in full working hours, provided that the required work performance is achieved.
Its purpose is to secure employees’ basic living needs and prevent unfair competition in labor pricing.
As of 1 January 2026, the net minimum wage amounts to RSD 371 per working hour.
Based on that hourly rate, the approximate monthly minimum net and gross wages are:

A monthly amount of around RSD 64,554 is often quoted as an approximate average monthly minimum wage, but the exact monthly amount always depends on the number of working days and working hours in the given month.
